This cross stitch piece was made into a cross stitch ornament, with front and back pieces folded over a backing board. One could make a banner using a similar method. (After the front is all sewn together it could be placed face down on the backing fabric. The two pieces would be sewn together, leaving an opening to turn it right side out. After the banner is pressed the opening would be sewn shut.)
